S&K Haulage Glamorgan Ltd known as S&K, was established in 1971, operating from Barry, supplying individual transport management solutions, warehousing, picking & packaging for the majority of the multi-national companies situated around South Wales, covering all of the United Kingdom and Europe.
When S&K Haulage was founded back in 1971, Neil Kidby soon set up his operations from an industrial unit on the Atlantic Trading Estate, this was ideally situated next to Barry Docks, which at the time was busy port supplying goods to all over the UK.
S&K Haulage soon added a subsidiary company called Barry Storage & Distribution, known as BSD, which catered for the warehousing needs of the organisation, this operated some 100,000 sq. ft. of warehousing that was filled with all sorts of materials and produce, that had been imported into Barry Docks.
As a result of the purchase of Vaughan Transport Systems Ltd back in 1993 known as VTS, the fleet grew to over 120 motive units.
The Trailer Fleet comprises of 13.6m Curtainsiders, temperature controlled, box vans, flatbeds, skeletal, Low Loaders, Tail lift Curtainsiders, Coil Carrying Flats, Euroliners, gas and bulk liquid tankers with capacities up to 48,000ltrs.
All these vehicles are based from our 5 acres enclosed site along with our warehousing facilities totalling 10,000 pallet spaces.
With the diverse nature of the businesses of our long standing customers, it’s always been imperative that S&K supply and utilize specialized vehicles, that are suited to our customer’s needs.

S&K can offer vehicle maintenance contracts for outside vehicles, purpose built to cover all needs and aspects, for inspections, MOT testing & preparation, brake testing facilities, painting, warranty, with administration staff able run a proactive maintenance system with scheduling and forecasting for the client.
If required S&K can give a client a one point of interface, where all shipment information is received and enquiry data is given. The dedicated account person in S&K uses all form of communication, to allow the most effective and convenient communication channel between the two parties involved.
S&K uses the Isotrak vehicle tracking system, for live vehicle information and tractability of your goods.
